The Jean Augustine Birthday Brunch

This is an invitation to my "3 score years and 10" Birthday Brunch that will be held on Sunday, September 9th, from 1:30 - 4:30pm.

After retiring from politics, I donated my archival and other Parliamentary materials to York University . This created an exciting opportunity to establish an academic Chair in "Education in the New Urban Environment". The Chair will support research in educational policy and practice, immigration, community engagement and cultural diversity. Thus, Canada ’s next generation of educators will be better equipped to deal  with urban  challenges to enhance student success.  For the Chair to remain in perpetuity, a $3 million commitment has to be made, with a lead gift of $500,000.

As I would like to include you among the "lead gift donors", my birthday celebration is a fundraising event to establish this gift. Tickets are $100 (you'll receive a tax receipt from York University for a portion of this cost) and can be purchased by e-mailing jeans_chair@yahoo.ca o
